My art career began when I was an adult. I started drawing, liked it, and enrolled in an evening Watercolor Class Modesto Junior College. I developed a passion for watercolors and won several awards for my art. At that time I was a full-time homemaker and continued to draw and paint until I went back to work. For about 20 years I didn’t pick up a paint brush or do any sketching until retiring in Yucaipa in 2009.

After retiring, I found the urge to paint and create art again, so I joined the local art associations and and started  taking classes again and got involved with the local art community.

I love to paint. For me it is a visual stimulation.  If I can create a picture that causes me to say, “Wow! I really like that,” it gives me a great deal of pleasure,  and when I get that same reaction from someone else, the feeling is just unbelievable and so satisfying.
